About Carol Hughes
Growing up in a large and close-knit family, I discovered my passion for caring for others and offering assistance from a young age. Whether it was helping family members, friends, or even strangers with tasks like carrying groceries, doing housework, delivering newspapers, or shoveling snow, I relished the opportunity to make people’s lives a little easier and see the joy it brought them. Despite our modest means, I found genuine fulfillment in these acts of kindness.
As I matured and faced the challenges that life threw my way, I continued to hold onto my belief in helping others. I was motivated by the thought that there were always people who might be in more difficult circumstances than myself, and I wanted to be there for them to make their lives better. This unwavering commitment to helping others led me to join the U.S. Navy right after high school.
My military journey was marked by service as a gunner mate aboard the USS Lexington and later as a hospital corpsman. These experiences instilled in me a deep sense of duty and a genuine desire to assist and care for those in need. However, life eventually presented me with a new opportunity, one that would take me in a different direction.
For the next 25 years, I dedicated myself to a new mission – managing a well-known national chain drug store in the United States. During this time, I continued to demonstrate my passion for helping others by empathetically listening to the stories and concerns of countless individuals who crossed my path. This profound connection with people opened my eyes to a different calling in real estate.
As I lent a compassionate ear to empty nesters grappling with the challenges of downsizing and finding communities that suited their evolving lifestyles, I made a deliberate decision to specialize in the 55+ housing market within the real estate industry. My journey commenced in League City, where I rapidly established a reputation as a Realtor® known for their genuine care and commitment.
Today, I have extended my services to include Montgomery, Spring, Conroe, The Woodlands, Willis, and any other area that piques my clients’ interest. This expansion has solidified my position as the go-to authority on 55+ living, with my expertise spanning various neighborhoods, including Bonterra at Woodforest, Chambers Creek, Villas at White Oak Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch, and many more.
Over the past five years, I have proudly assisted clients in buying and selling more than 120 homes, earning a reputation as a trusted real estate professional who places a premium on active listening and consistently goes above and beyond to serve the unique needs of each and every one of my clients. My journey has come full circle, with my innate desire to care for others driving me to excel in the realm of real estate, just as it did in my earlier years of helping people in any way I could.
